Remove the automatic transmission oil pan, pull out the mesh oil filter (6, see Fig. 9.42) down and remove from the crankcase. If the sealing ring (10) remains in the pump housing, it must be removed and the mesh oil filter replaced.

When installed on vehicles with petrol and diesel engines, various mesh oil filters for automatic transmissions are used, which differ in size "A" (Fig. 9.43):

- petrol engine 39.00±1.00 mm;
- diesel engine 30.00±1.00 mm.
At point (1) install two new sealing gaskets. Replace the sealing ring in the pump housing. Tighten the oil pan mounting bolts by hand until they touch, then crosswise to a torque of 10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m), moving from the middle to the edges. Upon completion of the work, fill the automatic transmission with oil and check its level.
The replacement of the automatic transmission mesh oil filter of the "A5S 440Z" and "GA6HP26Z" types should be carried out in a similar order. The value "A" for them is not regulated.
