Attention! Oil drips from the EMC after unscrewing them. Collect it with a rag and send it for disposal. Ensure the safety of electrical wires and belts.
Replacement of electromagnetic (EMC) valves of the D-VANOS system must be carried out in the following order. Prepare the device "32.2.110" and the device "11.6.420".

Read information from the fault memory of the ECU KSUD. Record the received messages and turn off the ignition.
Unlock and disconnect the hose (2, see Fig. 3.25) engine ventilation systems on the intake side.

Unlock and disconnect the SS from the EMC (36, see Fig. 3.63).

Using the "32.2.110" tool, unscrew the EMC on the intake side and the "11.6.420" tool on the exhaust side. Avoid damaging the oil line when unscrewing the EMC on the intake side.
When installing the EMC, replace the valve sealing rings (37) and tighten it to a torque of 30 N·m (3.0 kgf·m).
