- remove the wheel;
- disconnect the brake caliper from the wheel bearing support and secure it to the body with a wire clamp, avoiding tension on the brake hoses;
- unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the wheel speed sensor;
- support the rocker arm with a garage jack and disconnect the shock absorber from the rocker arm
- disconnect the guide lever from the wheel bearing support;
- disconnect the transverse arm from the wheel bearing support;
- disconnect the integral arm from the wheel bearing support and from the rocker arm;
- Disconnect the anti-roll bar mounting post from the rocker arm;
- Disconnect the rocker arm from the front of the rear axle beam.
Press the wheel suspension down, move the spring (1, fig. 14.58) aside and take it out. Check and, if necessary, replace the insulating gaskets (13, 14, see fig. 14.56) springs. Lubricate the spring isolators with a slip agent.
Attention! The insulating gasket of the spring must fit positively into the mount. Otherwise, there is a risk that the coil spring will deviate from the centering element. This will lead to the appearance of noise, limitation of operation with a change in the dynamic properties of the car.
Replace the bushing in the rocker arm under the shock absorber bolt. Tighten the new self-locking nut securing the stabilizer bar to the rocker arm to 100 Nm (10.0 kgf·m). Install the shock absorber mounting bolt and tighten the new nut (M14x1.5) with collar, torque 165 Nm (16.5 kgf·m), on a loaded car, standing on wheels.
