Remove the lower and upper parts of the oil sump. Remove vibration damper and coolant pump. Remove the drive belt tensioner, vibration damper hub and flywheel.
Remove the rear cover covering the cooling cavities of the cylinder block. Unscrew the bolts along the line of fastening of the bottom cover (1) Timing belt and remove it by moving forward towards you.
Using fixture «23.1.040», pick up the handset (1, fig. 5.70) cut-out cooling systems (2) moving forward (arrow).
Clean sealing surfaces of gasket residue. Replace tube (1) cooling systems, o-ring (3) and sealing gaskets (7, see fig. 5.69).
Install the timing cover, screw in all the bolts and tighten them with a preliminary torque of 5.0 Nm (0.5 kgf·m).
Tighten the bolts in staggered order to:
- M6 - 10 Nm (1.0 kgf·m);
- M7 - 15 Nm (1.5 kgf·m);
- M8 - 22 Nm (2.2 kgf·m);
- M10 - 47 Nm (4.7 kgf·m).
After all the bolts are tightened, go over them again and tighten them with the above torques. Replace the front oil seal at the bottom of the timing case cover.
