Note: There is very little space to remove the engine oil pan, so it is necessary to lower the front axle beam.
Measuring the front wheel alignment angles after completion of the work should not be carried out.
Removal of the upper part of the oil pan must be carried out in the following order.
Prepare the "17.0.030" tool, disconnect the "–" terminal from the battery, remove the decorative engine cover and the central part of the front shield
Remove the electric fan, alternator drive belt, air conditioning compressor drive belt and soundproofing casing.
Secure the engine using the "11.0.020" tool. Unscrew the upper nuts on the left and right engine mounts and remove the stiffening plate.
Remove the lower part of the oil pan and lower the front axle beam. Disconnect the power steering pump from the bracket. Leave the pipes connected. Move the pump to the side and secure it to the body with a wire clamp.
Unlock and disconnect the hydraulic lines on the automatic transmission heat exchanger using the "17.0.030" tool. Disconnect the hydraulic lines on the automatic transmission.
Disconnect the hydraulic line holder and remove the hydraulic lines.
Note: The location of the automatic transmission pipes on the radiator is at the bottom left.
When disconnecting hydraulic lines, transmission oil comes out and should be collected and disposed of.
Open the cable box of the oxygen concentration sensors on the gearbox housing. Unscrew the bolts (arrows, Fig. 5.64) and remove the oil pan.

Remove the bolts (arrows, Fig. 5.65,) and remove the upper part of the oil pan.

The installation of the upper part of the oil pan should be carried out in the reverse order, while it is necessary.
Using a hardwood scraper, clean the sealing surfaces of any remaining old gasket material. Replace the dipstick guide tube O-ring.
Replace the sealing gasket and check that it is positioned correctly. Install the oil pan. Insert all new oil pan mounting bolts. Do not overtighten the mounting bolts, otherwise the sealing of the gasket will be lost. Tighten the oil pan mounting bolts to the torque:
- M6 (8.8) - 10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m);
- M6 (10.9) - 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m).
Assemble the engine. Fill the engine with oil, check the oil level in the engine and the power steering reservoir (see the Operation section). Take a test drive and check the oil pan for leaks. If necessary, slightly tighten the engine crankcase mounting bolts.
