Attention! The pressure and vacuum test of the brake system must be carried out with the engine switched off.
Checking the brake system with excessive pressure must be carried out in the following order.
Remove the brake bleeder screw and connect a control pressure gauge (pic. 11.2) and remove air from the system.
Apply a force of about 500 N to the brake pedal (50.0 kgf), which corresponds to a pressure of 33 bar (33 kgf/cm2) and fix it with a stop (pic. 11.3).
Record the reading of the right manometer. After two minutes, check the pressure gauge, the pressure should drop by no more than 2%. Measurements should be carried out on both circuits of the brake system - front and rear.
Checking the brake system by vacuum must be carried out in the following order. Move the pedal stop back until the test pressure in the brake system is 3-5 bar. Make sure that the vehicle and measuring device are stationary, as any shock distorts the measurement results.
Within 5 minutes, the pressure value should not change. In the event of a severe pressure drop, all rubber seals must be checked.
At the end of the checks, disconnect the device and bleed the brake calipers.
