
Remove the exhaust system and rear heat shield. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the drive pinion flange and remove the lock washer (5). Mark the position of the nut (1, Fig. 14.9) in relation to the shaft of the drive gear of the GP.

Unscrew the flange nut, holding the flange from turning with the stopper "23.0.020" (fig. 14.10), having recorded (written down) the number of revolutions.

Remove the flange, for this you need to use the device "33.1.150" (fig. 14.11) for gearbox "188k" or device "33.2.101" (fig. 14.12) for gearbox "215k".

Using the tool "00.5.010", remove the oil seal (fig. 14.13) with the device "33.3.470" for the gearbox "188k" or the device "33.3.440" for the gearbox type "215k" press it in.

Lubricate the working lips of the seal and the sealing surface of the flange with rear axle gearbox oil. Install the flange (1, Fig. 14.15) drive gear of the main gear and press it on using the device "23.1.300". Stop pressing when the nut can be screwed on several threads.

Attention! It is strictly forbidden to tighten the nut beyond the installation marks, as this will damage the rear axle gearbox.
Tighten the nut (1, see Fig. 14.9) with the flange until the alignment marks are aligned, performing the same number of turns as when removing. Press in a new lock washer (5, see Fig. 14.8) using the mandrel "00.5.500" and the device "33.3.480" ("188k") or devices "33.3.490" ("215k").
Change the oil in the rear axle gearbox.
